The Olga Reznichenko Trio is one of the most exciting ensembles on the young European jazz scene. With a powerful blend of compositional depth, virtuoso playing and emotional clarity, Berlin-based pianist Olga Reznichenko, together with her fellow musicians, creates a sonic universe that respects jazz traditions whilst consistently bringing them into the present. Shaped by her classical training and her affinity for modern improvisational music, Reznichenko combines complex harmonic structures with rhythmic sophistication and an intuitive melodic language. Supported by a finely attuned rhythm section, the trio unfolds an impressive sonic range, extending from intimate moments to explosive
energy. The trio’s programme features original compositions that stylistically oscillate between modern chamber music, postmodern jazz and free improvisation. The focus remains consistently on musical communication – lively, curious and open. Live, the Olga Reznichenko Trio captivates with an intense yet sensitive interplay that delights audiences and critics alike. At a time when the boundaries between
Genres are becoming increasingly blurred, the trio stands for artistic integrity, innovation and expressiveness. In 2023, the trio was nominated for the German Jazz Prize in the ‘Band of the Year’ category. In 2026, Olga Reznichenko was awarded the German Jazz Prize in the ‘Pianist of the Year’ category. In autumn 2026, she will also receive the prestigious SWR Jazz Prize.
